My dog’s health matters equally as my health matters! I’m sure you feel the same about your dog.

This holistic wellbeing service now extends to both you and your precious pet. We have a special relationship with our dogs, they offer us unconditional love, physical touch, unique communication and a deep connection with their owner’s wellbeing.

As a Certified Practitioner, I tailor treatments to your dog’s specific needs. Using a combination of tools to balance and heal both body and mind.

My inspiration to extend the service came from seeing the significant beneficial effects on my own dog, Gracie.

After her spay surgery, Gracie experienced discomfort and was reluctant to use the toilet. Treatments appeared to ease her pain as we observed her increase activity levels, allowing early discontinuation of her pain medication and quick healing. This resulted in a rapid recovery. Motivated by these outcomes I wanted to share the benefits with other dogs, so I gained additional, necessary training, skills and certification to provide a professional service for animals.

Treatments are complementary alongside conventional vet care and natural medicine, with comprehensive benefits, supporting physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health.

Animals’ energy anatomy is like humans, yet they are more sensitive and spiritual therefore receive significant benefits. Animals communicate differently than humans and their responses may be subtle, so as a trained animal practitioner I intuitively observe the animal’s body language and behaviour to ensure the unique treatment needed for your precious pet.

Therapies Used

Reiki

Reiki is a natural therapy using gentle techniques to balance energy, for the purpose of pain management, stress reduction and relaxation. The treatment stimulates the body’s natural ability to heal by releasing blockages, suppressed emotions and toxins to restore balance and overall wellbeing.

A gentle treatment involving my hands being placed on or above the body.

There are no known contraindications or adverse effects associated with Reiki; the body only releases blockages and toxins from the body. Therefore, it is considered safe and beneficial for all regardless of species, age or health condition.

The clinical research shows Reiki treatments are effective for pain management, stress reduction, lowering blood pressure and speeding up wound healing time.

Acupressure

Acupressure is therapeutic method for reliving pain, relaxation, improved circulation therefore removing toxins, reducing side effects of medication, restoring balance, prevention, overall wellness physical, mental and emotional.

Using light touch techniques to stimulate specific points on meridians called acupoints on the face and body. Sensitivity is higher in animals, so lighter touch and alternative technique of stimulation is necessary.

Scientific research supports the efficacy of acupressure for managing many conditions, benefits being muscle relaxation, improved circulation, reduced anxiety and pain. Studies also validating the mechanisms behind the pressure applied releasing endorphins; natural pain relief, promoting relaxation and balancing the energy system.

The Journal of veterinarian science published a study of arthritic dogs over a six week period demonstrated a significant improved mobility and reduced pain. As well as increased levels of serotonin and dopamine.

Scientific evidence supports the effectiveness of energy medicine and energy psychology which is based on the physical aspect of the meridian system called the PVS; primo vascular system.

The Treatment

The treatment is a gentle, non-invasive and relaxing experience involving my hands being placed on or above the body or at distance. It will take place in your dog’s natural surroundings where they feel familiar and safe.

Your dog may want to relax near me, move slightly away or walk around. Some initiate touch, come closer offering their sore parts. It’s about respecting their boundaries and allowing their reaction and my intuition to guide the session.

A treatment will last up to one hour. It can be in several phases as the dog may choose to sit, lie down, walk around and take a break for a drink.

Your dog my feel mild sensations coming from my hands such as warmth, coolness, other sensations, slight twitching due to relaxation or may feel nothing at all.

After a treatment it is advisable to drink some water to flush out toxins from the body.

As dogs are so in tune with their owner’s wellbeing it may be beneficial for the dog, if you the owner also receive treatment. I can offer this included as part of the therapy time or a combined package.

How often are sessions required

Even one single session can make a difference, however a course of regular treatments may be more effective. These may be weekly, fortnightly or less often depending on the needs of your dog.

A treatment plan can be discussed, agreed and reviewed as necessary and always subject to the preferences of the animal’s owner, with the option to change it at any time according to progress.

Individual Home Dog Treatment

Treatment fee is £50. There maybe additional travel expenses depending on the distance travelled to your home.
