Emotional Freedom Techniques or Tapping, are a simple yet effective healing process which can neutralise physical and emotional issues. These techniques can reduce or eliminate all types of issues; unpleasant memories, feelings, negative emotions, fears, phobias, grief, anger, stress and anxiety. Also physical conditions that may have an emotional component; headaches, muscle stiffness, pain, cravings and habits. Therefore having a positive effect on all aspects of your life; personal, professional, sport performance, relationships and more.
EFT uses the ancient Chinese meridian system, with gentle, safe, fingertip tapping techniques stimulate the meridian end points on the face and body while ‘tuned in’ to the problem to release the intensity, reframe the issues and balance electromagnetic and subtle energies. We work together on what is important to you, as the client you choose your outcomes.
Dr Roger Callahan in the 1980’s explored working with the meridian system; he resolved an intense water phobia of a lady who had been receiving conventional therapy without results for years. He spent 10 years developing the therapy, Gary Craig then refined and simplified it into EFT.
EFT is spreading around the world, it is an innovative energy oriented method with remarkable results. The premise that, unlike western medicine focusing on our bodies as a chemical system our bodies also have an energy system. A disruption or blockage in that energy system causes negative emotions that also contribute to physical problems. When you clear the disruption or blockage using EFT, you have physical and emotional freedom. Scientific evidence supports the effectiveness of energy medicine and energy psychology which is based on the physical aspect of the meridian system called the PVS; primo vascular system.

First step for a new potential client who wants to explore working with me is to email me or call me. I will answer any questions you have and you can outline what you want to achieve by working with me.
Second part of the process is to complete a confidential questionnaire. Once I receive the completed questionnaire we arrange our first session.
This first session is based on what is important to you, as the client you choose your outcomes.
After the first session there are a few days breathing space for you to think about if this is the right thing for you and whether to proceed. If you decide to continue working with me we can arrange our next session to start making the changes you want.
Following sessions, in each of the following sessions we use your most important outcomes to guide our work. In each session we use gentle and safe techniques to explore and heal the causes of your difficulties. I usually teach my clients simple techniques they can use to ease their distress between sessions. They can use these techniques to speed up the process and to help them for the rest of their lives.
At the end of each session I may give clients tasks to do between sessions. These tasks are to strengthen the changes they’ve made and to practice new ways of being in the world.
At the beginning of the next session we review the progress you are making and decide what to do next. What is important to you may change as we make progress and we can adjust our course as we go along.
If there is still work to do at the sixth session, we review our progress and plan our next steps. You decide when you have made enough changes for you and when to end, pause or continue. A month after our last session I will get in touch with you by email to find out how you are progressing.
